Severe Weather Alert: Winter Storm Watch

Good afternoon, Faulkner County! The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for Faulkner County effective at 12:00pm on Thursday, January 9, 2025. Heavy snow is possible with very cold wind and wind chills expected during this time.
Representatives from Faulkner County Administrative Offices, Faulkner County Sheriff's Office, Faulkner County Road Department, and Faulkner County Office of Emergency Management will be hosting a press conference tomorrow, Wednesday, January 8, 2025, to discuss winter preparation procedures. In addition to coverage on media outlets, we will be making this information available on the Faulkner County, Arkansas, and Faulkner County Sheriff's Office social media pages.
In preparation for inclement weather and as a result of decreasing temperatures, several public warming centers are available. These include the following locations:
Don Owen Sports Center

Must check in prior to 9:00pm to stay overnight.
