Commitment to the Community Countdown: Share-a-Bear
12/31/2024
In continuation of our commitment to the community end of year countdown, Faulkner County Sheriff's Office had a great time participating in the Share-a-Bear Holiday Police-Community Relations Event 2024. We were blessed to be able to join with all other Faulkner County Law Enforcement Agencies in playing games with the kids and handing out toys to over 1,000 local children and families. Law Enforcement was joined by Toys for Tots and the Jamison Alexander Success Center in this incredible annual event, hosted by the University of Central Arkansas Police & Society and Police-Community Relations classes, taught by Dr. Sherry Skaggs. This year, we were also assisted by the University of Central Arkansas Civil Liberties & Public Speaking Classes, taught by Dr. Bailey Fairbanks and Dr. Adriian Gardner respectively. Faulkner County Sheriff's Office looks forward to this event every year as it provides children an opportunity to play games, interact with law enforcement, win prizes, enjoy some great food, visit with Santa, and receive free toys for Christmas. We hope all of the families had a wonderful time at the event. Special thanks to the UCA classes for hosting such an incredible event every year. We also wish to express our appreciation to the McGee Center for allowing us to utilize their space this year, and we greatly appreciate Toys for Tots in their assistance with supplying toys for the event! We look forward to next year!
