Training Staff Introduction

11/20/2024

Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office is proud to introduce the community to our new training staff members, following a series of promotions and partnerships.

Timothy Johnson, pictured here on the left, has been promoted to Staff Sergeant over the Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office Training Division. Staff Sergeant Johnson joined FCSO in 2019 after graduating with his Bachelor of Science in Criminology from the University of Central Arkansas. A few years after joining FCSO, he was promoted into the Criminal Investigations Division, and, in 2022, he was recognized as the Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office Jimmy Wooley Investigator of the Year. Staff Sergeant Johnson has served as a leader and role model within the various divisions of the department, and he remains committed to maintaining and further building upon the excellent framework of training for all existing deputies and new hires within the agency.

Landon Rappold, who has led the Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office Training Division since 2021, has been promoted to Administrative Lieutenant. Lieutenant Rappold, pictured here on the right, holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Arkansas Tech University. With nearly 15 years of law enforcement experience, he has held several specialty assignments including the following: SWAT Operator & Sniper, Water Patrol Team, Rescue Diver, Training Unit Team Member & Supervisor, and others. He has attended trainings with the Department of Homeland Security, FBI, and several other federal, state, and local agencies in Arkansas and beyond. He has also trained with the Arkansas National Guard Counter Drug Unit and numerous civilian organizations. Earlier this year, Lieutenant Rappold had the honor of being selected and graduating from the Arkansas Leader Program. The program, which is jointly sponsored by the Criminal Justice Institute (CJI) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), has been designated as one of the FBI’s sixteen Command College Courses. The Arkansas Leader Program is an intensive program designed specifically for law enforcement executives and other leaders within the criminal justice system. This executive level training is taught by distinguished lecturers and takes a multi-faceted approach to examining current leadership principles. A strong emphasis is placed on leadership principles, decision making, and mentoring the next generation of law enforcement leaders.

Combined, Lieutenant Rappold and Staff Sergeant Johnson offer a vast amount of knowledge, an unwavering work ethic, and a true passion and commitment to the law enforcement profession and the citizens of Faulkner County. We are excited for all of the things to come for FCSO from this duo, and we could not be more proud to have them as members of our team!
