Faulkner County Sheriff's Office was proud to join representatives from Arkansas State Police, Conway Police Department, University of Central Arkansas Police Department, Mayflower Police Department, & Arkansas Department of Corrections Division of Community Correction, in speaking with UCA Police & Society and Police-Community Relations classes for Alumni Day. Alumni Day is for students who came through the class in previous years to come back and dialogue with the new students about why they chose their department and what roles they have worked within in their department. This is part of an annual semester-long partnership with the courses in which students complete ride-alongs, trainings, and physical entrance examinations with the agencies. Students also spend the semester working with the agencies to host a joint holiday police-community relations event in December. We look forward to this incredible partnership and learning experience every year!
