OPERATION ROOM SERVICE YIELDS 9 ARRESTS

Faulkner County Sheriff's Office, in collaboration with the 20th Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney’s Office and the United States Marshal Service, joined forces with Covenant Rescue Group (CRG) to successfully execute Operation Room Service. Covenant Rescue Group, which is based in Alabama, is comprised of former military, law enforcement, business executives, and everyday individuals, is committed to putting an end to human trafficking. They provide funding for operations leading to rescues, arrests, and prosecution. They also provide essential training and equipment for law enforcement, advocate through news, and create teams dedicated to the mission of ending human trafficking. While Covenant Rescue Group (CRG) operates globally, this partnership was the first of its kind in the State of Arkansas.

Operation Room Service, which was executed on September 13-14, 2024, in Faulkner County, resulted in the following nine arrests with a focus on Human Trafficking and Child Exploitation:

  • Jacob Teel, 37, is currently charged with Internet Stalking of a Child (Class B Felony) and Traveling for the Purpose of an Unlawful Sex Act with a Minor (Class B Felony).
  • Joey Le, 34, a registered Level 3 Sex Offender, is currently charged with 2 counts of Internet Stalking of a Child (Class Y Felony), 2 counts of Traveling for the Purpose of an Unlawful Sex Act with a Minor (Class B Felony), & 2 counts of Sexual Indecency with a Child (Class D Felony).
  • Joseph Capps, 53, is currently charged with Internet Stalking of a Child (Class Y Felony), Traveling for the Purpose of an Unlawful Sex Act with a Minor (Class B Felony), & Sexual Indecency with a Child (Class D Felony).
  • Caleb Higdon, 28, is currently charged with Internet Stalking of a Child (Class Y Felony), Traveling for the Purpose of an Unlawful Sex Act with a Minor (Class B Felony), & Sexual Indecency with a Child (Class D Felony).
  • Easton Squirres, 22, is currently charged with Internet Stalking of a Child (Class Y Felony), Traveling for the Purpose of an Unlawful Sex Act with a Minor (Class B Felony), & Sexual Indecency with a Child (Class D Felony).
  • Damarv Cummings, 45, is currently charged with Internet Stalking of a Child (Class Y Felony), Traveling for the Purpose of an Unlawful Sex Act with a Minor (Class B Felony), & Sexual Indecency with a Child (Class D Felony).
  • Jeremy Curtiss, 24, is currently charged with Internet Stalking of a Child (Class Y Felony), Traveling for the Purpose of an Unlawful Sex Act with a Minor (Class B Felony), & Sexual Indecency with a Child (Class D Felony).
  • Alton Sprague, 71, is currently charged with Internet Stalking of a Child (Class Y Felony), Traveling for the Purpose of an Unlawful Sex Act with a Minor (Class B Felony), & Sexual Indecency with a Child (Class D Felony).
  • Phillip Engle, 52, is currently charged with Internet Stalking of a Child (Class Y Felony), Traveling for the Purpose of an Unlawful Sex Act with a Minor (Class B Felony), & Sexual Indecency with a Child (Class D Felony).

Following review by prosecutors, charges are subject to change. Additional charges may be expected on any of these individuals as the investigation continues. Individuals are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

They were an amazing and dedicated team to work with. We also wish to express our appreciation to the 20th Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney’s Office and the United States Marshal Service. Together, this team of hard-working and dedicated individuals truly demonstrate the benefits of collaboration. We are proud of the results of this operation, which undoubtedly makes our youngest citizens within Faulkner County much safer tonight. Sheriff Ryals and Chief Wooley remain committed to bringing those to justice who prey upon our children. Let Operation Room Service serve as a warning: In Faulkner County, we will find you, we will expose you, and we will prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law.
