PSA: Conway Water Curtailment (Update: Lifted)

09/12/2024

UPDATE ON SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 14, 2024, AT 1:30PM: The mandatory water curtailment has been lifted at this time.

Special Attention to all of our friends in Conway:

Conway Corp has notified the community of the need for a mandatory water curtailment beginning on Friday, September 13, 2024, at 8:00am.

A water main break in the raw water line from Brewer Lake to the Roger Q Mills Water Treatment Plant has temporarily reduced Conway Corp’s ability to effectively produce a high-demand volume of treated water to customers. Conway Corp will be performing emergency repairs to the water line beginning at this time, and the curtailment is expected to be in effect until Saturday evening, September 14, 2024. When the curtailment notice is lifted or if additional measures become necessary, customers will be notified.

Conway Corp is requesting the support and cooperation of all residential and commercial water users for this curtailment to be effective. Refraining from activities like watering the yard, washing cars, extensively using dishwashers and washing machines, and taking long showers during the curtailment period will ensure that all community members have sufficient water to meet critical needs for hygiene and consumption. This water curtailment will ensure that every community member maintains a sufficient supply of water to meet their most critical needs.

Conway Corp has assured us that, at this time, water quality has not been affected, and water remains safe for drinking. Thank you, in advance, for your cooperation and support during this curtailment to ensure everyone has a sufficient supply of water.
