Faulkner County Sheriff's Office is asking residents to be on alert for a scam. We have had several reports recently of citizens receiving calls in which the caller demands money or gift cards to prevent the resident from being arrested. In an effort to make their scam appear more legitimate, the callers are using names of deputies who currently work for the Sheriff's Office. Most recently, the scammers are pretending to be Chief Deputy Chad Wooley.

If you receive a call similar to this, do not give out personal information or provide money. Faulkner County Sheriff's Deputies will never contact individuals via phone regarding a warrant and requesting money or additional personal information.
