On Tuesday, March 17th, at approximately 2:00am, a Faulkner County Sheriff Deputy attempted to stop a vehicle in the area of Hwy 286 and Caney Creek Rd which resulted in a pursuit. The suspect vehicle lost control and wrecked out in the area of Caney Creek Rd and Amity Rd in Conway. When the Deputy tried to engage the suspect a struggle ensued. The suspect, later identified as Tyler J. Beene (44), went for the deputy’s weapon and managed to get the weapon away from the deputy.  Beene fled from the scene in the deputy’s patrol car with the lights and siren activated on Caney Creek Rd towards Foothills Dr.

Approximately 50 minutes later, the patrol car was found abandoned on Betty Ln. Beene has not been located at this time. Sheriff Deputies along with Arkansas State Police and the Conway Police Department have set up a perimeter and are looking for the suspect.
