Jury Duty SCAM

08/29/2013

The Faulkner County Sheriff's Office has received several reports of someone calling citizens posing as a Sheriff's Office employee. The caller will tell you that you had been selected for jury duty but missed your jury date. They will then tell you that since you missed your jury date, that they have a warrant for your arrest. They will tell you that you can go to the ATM and get cash or go to Wal-mart and get a money card. The caller will ask you to either call them back with the card number or meet them somewhere to pay for your warrant. This is a SCAM, the Faulkner County Sheriff's Office WILL NOT call you and ask for money or meet you on the side of the road for a payment. Our investigators are currently working this case and would like for anyone that has information or has received one of these calls to contact the Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office at 501-450-4914
