1 in Hospital, 1 in Custody After Shooting

On Friday evening, 3/17/17, at approximately 7:00 p.m., Faulkner County Dispatch received a call stating there was an abandoned vehicle located in the middle of the road on Pinnacle Springs Road, north of Greenbrier.  Deputies located the vehicle, discovering it to be reported stolen out of Little Rock.  A witness reported a man ran from the vehicle into a wooded area nearby.

 

Several minutes later a subject was found to be staggering around at the Zion Grove Missionary Baptist Church on Hwy 6N.  The victim, 39 year old McAlton Walker suffered from what appeared to be a single gunshot wound to the face.  MEMS transported the victim to a hospital in Conway, where he was later transported to a hospital in Little Rock.

 

Deputies and Investigators, along with the help from Conway Police K9 units, were unable to locate a suspect after searching the area. Investigators learned the alleged suspect was 33 year old Albert “Bo” Woods. 

 

On 3/18/17 at approximately 1:50 p.m. Faulkner County Sheriff Deputies were able to locate Woods on Cargile Lane where he was taken into custody without incident. This incident is considered under investigation.  Formal charges are pending at the time of this press release.
