Hit and Run

08/03/2016

On Tuesday evening, around 5:03 p.m. Faulkner County 911 received a call reporting a female driving a lawn mower on Skunk Hollow Rd. had been struck by a late-model white Toyota 4Runner and fled the scene. The victim had serious physical injuries and had to be transported by an emergency medical helicopter to a Little Rock hospital where she remains in critical condition.

Witnesses described the driver of the hit-and-run vehicle to be a younger white male. The vehicle may have front end damage with black or red paint markings from the lawn mower.  The vehicle was last seen on Middle Rd. heading west toward Shiloh Estates.

The witness of the hit and run reported the license plate number of the suspect vehicle as 986 UPI. That license plate, which returns to a similar model white Toyota 4Runner, was reported stolen on July 29th from a Faulkner County address.

An hour earlier, around 3:50 p.m. Georges Automotive Inc. off Simon St. in Conway had a charcoal gray 2014 Nissan Altima stolen from their lot. A security camera from a nearby business captured footage of a white Toyota 4Runner in the area before the Altima was stolen, then seen following the stolen vehicle as it left the area. We believe this may be the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run incident.
