Faulkner County Detention Center Student Tour

04/29/2024

The Faulkner County Sheriff's Office & Faulkner County Detention Center recently held a tour for a group of students from the University of Central Arkansas. Students were representatives from three classes at the University of Central Arkansas: Correctional Systems and Juvenile Delinquency, both instructed by Dr. Sherry Skaggs, Associate Professor, Department of Sociology, Criminology, & Anthropology, and Politics of Mass Incarceration, instructed by Dr. Bailey Fairbanks, Assistant Professor, Department of Government, Public Service, & International Studies. Throughout the day, students were able to see the Courthouse, Administrative Offices, Old Jail, Justice Building, and Faulkner County Detention Center Unit I & Unit II. Judge Allen Dodson led the tour of the Courthouse Complex, Administrative Offices, and Old Jail, while Faulkner County Sheriff's Office Lieutenant Rusty Page and Corporal Kosol Leach led the tour of the Faulkner County Detention Center and the Justice Building. We hope the students had a wonderful time. We look forward to these educational opportunity partnerships each year!
