Deputy Renders Aid for Injured Man

04/21/2016

April 1 proved to be anything but an April fool’s joke for Doyce Hull, who sustained serious injuries after an ATV accident. Mr. Hull was getting a can of soda from a vending machine on Stevens Dr and rode his ATV off a 5 foot loading dock.  When he hit the ground, the ATV flipped on top of him.

Corporal Dan Jarry responded and provided first aid while waiting for paramedics. Corporal Jarry reported Mr. Hull had severe bleeding from his nose, mouth, and forehead.  Mr. Hull began having difficulty breathing at which time Corporal Jarry took appropriate measures to clear his airway to allow for normal breathing.

Corporal Jarry applied direct pressure to Mr. Hull’s wounds with bandages until MEMS arrived. Mr. Hull had to be airlifted to a hospital for treatment.

Because of the quick response and appropriate aid provided by Corporal Jarry, Mr. Hull is recovering after a broken hand, broken nose, busted mouth, and severe concussion. Faulkner County Sheriff Deputies appreciate the opportunity to serve the citizens of this county.  Give Corporal Jarry a pat on the back if you see him.
