At approximately 5:15 pm on 3.19.16, Faulkner County Sheriff Investigators arrested 47 year old Daniel Stewart of Fort Smith, AR on one charge of Conspiracy to Commit Rape.

On 2.1.16, Stewart began communicating online with an undercover investigator.  Communication continued until he agreed to meet on Saturday, 3.19.16 at a predetermined location for the purpose to engage in sexual contact with a juvenile.

Stewart was booked in at FCSO Unit 2 with a first appearance court date of 3.21.16.

FCSO worked in conjunction with the Federal Bureau of Investigation on this case.
